MYL 16

The Mylène site in Heist-op-den-Berg is ready for redevelopment. We and Jeni Real Estate submitted an application for the first phase. In the first phase, approximately 15,000 square meters will be built on project land of about 9 hectares with business space for entrepreneurs from Heist.

For Mylène - maker of care products - nothing will change: the Mylène factory and shop will continue to exist.

A permit application was submitted on the adjacent plot of land for the demolition of disused buildings, for the construction of a new access road and for the realization of a first development phase: two multi-company buildings and six linked industrial buildings. Collecting and linking buildings increases energy efficiency and spatial efficiency, so that appropriate space can be given to forest and water. After all, with this application we preserve and strengthen the existing valuable acidic oak forest and the artificial ponds are replaced by a naturally constructed open water with swamp area and bank vegetation, of course in close consultation with the nature and forest agency and the integrated water policy department.

In this way we promote the biological ecosystems at the 'Heistse Hoek' and at the same time create new space to do business for the entrepreneurs of Heist-op-den-Berg.
